The Elusive First Race

The Elusive first race as race director has been plagued with rain.

The first couple of months as Race Director, the last weekend of the month is the only time I had available to hold a race. Since this has been the normal race schedule for the past year I figured "Cool! this will work out with my schedule as this is the only opening I had for a couple months". Well as luck would have it the weather was perfect for the first couple weeks. I was able to get the track back into shape, sprayed weeds, brought out skid steer from Yancey Cat to rejuvenate the track, everything was going great. Until the week of the first race (9-27-2018) the rains came and the track was a no go for racing. I had high hopes for October race weekend (10-27-2018) as luck would have it AGAIN rained out. Now we are going into the Holiday months I'm hoping to fool the weather and possibly move the races around to some different weekends and hopefully I will finally be able to pull off my first race.
